About Us

The association Zeso Life e. V. was founded in 1988 under the name "Gefährdetenhilfe".

Even though we no longer bear the name "Endangered Help", we still do the work of helping those at risk. What is behind this long and somewhat unwieldy term? We want to offer help to people at risk so that they are able to live their lives independently again for the foreseeable future. The term "vulnerable persons" is deliberately broad.

We want to reach out to anyone who is struggling to manage their lives. Often there is a connection to various addictions or to crime. But you don't have to have a drug addiction or a prison stay to be able to ask us for help. Life crises of any kind are often at the beginning of a cycle that later leads to dependencies. We want to help at an early stage.

The offer of help is available to everyone, regardless of race, nationality, gender and religion.

what we do

The beginnings of our work date back to the 1980s in a Christian youth ministry in Bielefeld. Accordingly, our work is conceptually based on a Christian framework. We see ourselves as a pastorally oriented working group of Christians from various churches, free churches and communities.

Today, Zeso Life e. V. has a total of four residential communities in Germany. In addition to two residential communities located directly in Bad Eilsen, there are further branches in Blomberg and Leopoldshöhe (Helpup). Abroad, we are represented by residential communities in Truskavez (Ukraine), Perm (Russia), Buryatia (Russia), Krasnoyarsk (Russia) and Akasheni (Georgia).

Other areas of work include our work training program in the special-purpose company GFH Service gGmbH, training and prevention work,

prison outreaches and street work. Our pastoral care and counseling services are also available to people who do not live in our shared apartments. We want to provide fast and uncomplicated help.

Our work is mainly supported by donations from private individuals, communities and companies. In addition, our financing concept includes income from special-purpose operations and residents' own contributions.

Our history

The association Gefährdetenhilfe Bad Eilsen has been in existence since 1988, although its work began several years earlier.

At the beginning of the 1980s, a youth group from the MBG Bielefeld-Heepen Protestant Free Church began doing outreach work in the surrounding prisons and street work in Bielefeld. At some point, the question arose as to how to help people beyond the brief contacts in prison and on the street. This gradually gave rise to the need for a shared flat.

Inspired by the work of Gefährdetenhilfe Scheideweg, the Gefährdetenhilfe e.V. association was founded in Bielefeld in 1988 on the initiative of a team led by Viktor Brakowski. After a short time, a plot of land was acquired in Bad Eilsen, so that the association was renamed Gefährdetenhilfe Bad Eilsen e.V.. Thanks to the possibilities offered by the new site with existing residential buildings, the work could now really begin.
