New partnership with Salama Care in Kenya
Since the beginning of the year, we have been delighted to announce a new partnership with the newly established Salama Care facility near Mombasa, Kenya. Following a visit by our team to the facility and a return visit by the Salama Care management to Germany, a decision was made to collaborate in various areas in the future.
A group home is currently being established for young women who have become pregnant unintentionally. The aim is to provide them with loving support and a future perspective in this challenging life situation. The group home is intentionally designed to resemble a family: the house parents, Victor and Tina Omollo, live there together with their own children.
In the long term, a project for young men is also planned – especially for so-called “beach boys” and other youths without prospects. In Kenya, there are very few support services or assistance programs for teenagers living on the streets.
We hope and pray that through this work many people will hear the good news of Jesus Christ and find new hope.
